The picture is taken of a fire escape on an apartment building. It was taken in October. I was trying to present how interesting a picture can be with just line, depending on which direction each line is going. I like that even though it is just lines it is not as boring as I expected it to be, because some of the lines are going in different directions it makes for a more interesting photo.

What I really like about this photo is the extreme contrast between the black and white- it really makes the lines pop. When I first saw this photo, I had no idea what direction the angle was in, which I really like. This sort of image is something that you really have to take time to look at if you want to figure it out, which is amazing considering that it's made up completely of lines.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the rustic feel to the photo by the worn concrete blocks.
ReplyDeleteLines is used form the collection of Elements of Composition. Due to the lines of boards in the background.
A good use of white balance is used to the blue/gray look to the photo.
The photo reflects a old worn calm mood.
